The latest pollution incidents on the shoreline, the numerous port incidents and the various exercises organised in the coastal zone repeatedly highlight the need for technical training for responders in the field and their mutual lack of knowledge.
This need for training is also underlined in the Prime Minister's Instruction of 4 March 2002 on marine pollution response (national POLMAR documentation), which specifies that Cedre is responsible for continuing the pollution response training effort.
Finally, the need to train their personnel to conduct emergency response operations is regularly recalled by our private partners.
Faced with these requirements, Cedre organises this practical shoreline response training course every year, during which it welcomes a wide range of participants who have the opportunity to practise on real oil spills and to build a network of contacts and exchange experiences.
